Peer Review Criteria

Manuscripts are evaluated based on the criteria outlined below:

Suitability for SIYAR's mission;
Significance in contributing new knowledge (advancing a field of study; or providing best practices or lessons learned);
Thoroughness and appropriateness of the scholarship; And
Readability and flow of information and ideas presented.
Each manuscript submitted to SIYAR is reviewed independently by a minimum of two reviewers in the form of a "double-blind review". Decisions for publication, amendment, or rejection are based on their reports and recommendations. In certain cases, the editor may send the article for review to another third reviewer before making a decision, if necessary.
