SIYAR accepts manuscripts in five categories:
Research Article: Quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, or integrative study that shows the involvement and/or intersection of religion, state, and society.
Reflective Essay: Examination of thoughts on current issues related to the involvement and/or intersection of religion, state, and society anchored in literature.
Dissertation Overview: Dissertation summary of the methods used to examine topics related to the involvement and/or intersection between religion, state, and society.
Policy Brief: A document that outlines the reasons for choosing a particular policy alternative or action in the current policy debate related to the involvement and/or intersection of religion, state and society.
Book Reviews: Reviews of books related to the involvement and/or intersection of religion, state and society that go beyond content descriptions to analyze and gather implications for theory and practice.
